Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS) seeks a CPS FBSS Specialist I to support Protective Services by providing in-home services and safety planning after investigations. This is a full-time, mobile-unit role with significant travel.

The position requires a relevant degree and willingness to work irregular hours; newly hired DFPS employees receive a company cellular phone and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in social work, psychology, or related field.
• Experience in protective services or social work.
• Ability to travel and conduct home visits; flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Responds quickly in crisis situations.
• Provides time-limited in-home services to protect children.
• Assesses safety and takes action to protect the child.
