Job summary

Village Caregiving - Sandusky is seeking compassionate in-home caregivers to assist clients with ambulation, mobility, and daily activities around the house or during doctor visits in the Norwalk area.

You will support personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and accompany shopping while reporting changes to nurses and family. CPR certification is required; high school diploma or equivalent is expected; prior caregiving is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current CPR (American Heart Association) certification.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Physical endurance for caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks etc.).
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Do the client’s shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed.
• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients can’t complete on their own, including preparing meals.
• Report any unusual incidents to nurses, doctors and family members.
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency.
