Job summary

HII’s Ingalls Shipbuilding Division in Mississippi designs, builds and maintains amphibious ships and destroyers for the U.S. Navy, employing thousands and contributing to regional growth.

The Role expects you to plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules; coordinate with material requirements to meet production needs; communicate status to management; schedule equipment and personnel; and coordinate across departments to ensure timely delivery of components.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 7 years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience.
• Master’s degree or higher with 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules.
• Coordinate with material requirements for timely flow of approved materials.
• Advise management of work in progress, material availability and potential production problems.
• Schedule equipment and personnel to meet production requirements.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activity with QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control and traffic.
