Job summary

E-Z Bel Construction, LLC is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to develop and manage Primavera P6 CPM schedules for heavy civil projects in San Antonio, TX. The role requires translating plans and contracts into accurate schedules and maintaining them throughout project progress.

The candidate will work with PMs, estimating, and operations leadership to ensure schedules reflect project reality, mitigate risks, and support change management in a fast-paced construction environment.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor preferred.
• 3–5 years of hands-on construction scheduling or project controls experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Ability to develop complete baseline CPM schedules from project docs.
• Knowledge of heavy civil construction means and sequencing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop Primavera P6 baseline CPM schedules with PMs and Operations.
• Review plans, specs, bid info to create schedule structure and sequencing.
• Set calendars, WBS, activities, logic, durations, milestones and coding.
• Incorporate milestones, procurement, submittals, utilities, traffic control, testing, closeout.
• Update schedules based on progress, changes, and team information.
• Create what-if, recovery, and revised schedules as needed.
• Identify changes to critical path and communicate impacts.
• Link budgets/quantities to baseline and look-ahead schedules.
• Organize quantities, production rates, and durations for comparison.
• Develop TIAs and schedule exhibits for delays/changes.
