AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, including servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring continuous access to innovation for our customers. We work on complex problems with many variables impacting the supply chain and seek talented individuals to contribute.

You will join a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role involves collaborating across AWS to uphold safety and security standards while providing extensive capacity at minimal cost. The Critical Projects Implementation (CPI) team manages construction activities within operational data centers, focusing on infrastructure improvements to optimize space, power, and cooling. Projects extend beyond standard construction and maintenance tasks.

We seek an energetic Data Center Project Manager as a technical resource to oversee projects involving electrical, mechanical, controls, and architectural systems. The role requires understanding these systems, identifying improvements, and deploying innovative solutions. Responsibilities include project oversight, coordination, and ensuring alignment with company goals. The scope includes enhancing electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management, or equivalent experience (5+ years managing data center or critical infrastructure projects)
  • 3+ years experience in Construction or Project Management
Preferred Qualifications
  • BA/BS in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or related technical field
  • 5+ years experience with power distribution and mechanical cooling systems in data centers
  • Ability to discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, incorporate feedback, and evaluate new ideas with stakeholders
  • Experience delivering results in fast-paced environments
  • Detail-oriented with strong motivation and follow-through
  • Proven project leadership skills
