Job summary

Shields Health Solutions is hiring a Certified Specialty Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) for our Albany, NY, site. This on-site role supports pharmacists and patients with medication preparation, dispensing, and education.

You will handle prescriptions, inventory, claims, and patient outreach while maintaining confidentiality and accurate records. A fast-paced, patient-focused environment offers growth and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be nationally certified (CPhT) and registered as a Pharmacy Technician.
• 1+ year of Pharmacy Technician experience is required.
• Current state registration preferred; additional state certifications may be required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and enter prescriptions accurately
• Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists and clinicians
• Label and fill prescriptions for pharmacist verification
• Perform pharmaceutical calculations
• Identify medications requiring special handling or storage
• Assemble medication-related supplies and prepare for delivery
• Answer, resolve, and triage inbound patient inquiries
• Obtain refill prescriptions and coordinate renewals
• Maintain pharmacy inventory and data
