Care New England Health System is seeking a CPD Certified Technician to perform reprocessing of instruments, supplies, and equipment used in patient care. The role includes receiving, transporting, and sterilizing items and supporting the department and other hospital staff as needed.
You will collect and process contaminated items, monitor sterilization processes, manage case carts, and assist with inventory and shortages while communicating effectively with team members in a busy hospital
The CPD Certified Technician performs all reprocessing activities involvinginstruments, supplies, and equipment used for patient care. Receives, collects, and transports contaminated instruments and supplies. Operates and cleans all department equipment and performs all sterilization monitoring activities. Servesas a resource to other department members and to other hospital staff as needed, and performs other job-related duties as requested.
High School graduate or equivalent. Certification as Registered Central Service Technician (RCST) required. Registered is a process which validates that a minimum level of knowledge, skills and education has been attained. One year previousexperience in central processing operations preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate with other department members and hospital staff. Proficiency in the English language required.
