Care New England Health System in Providence, RI seeks a CPD Certified Technician to perform reprocessing of instruments, supplies, and equipment for patient care. You will collect, transport, and sterilize items and monitor sterilization processes.
The role requires CRCST certification, high school diploma, and strong communication; prior central processing experience preferred. This on-site position supports OR and delivery areas and involves teamwork and case-schedule adherence.
The CPD Certified Technician performs all reprocessing activities involving instruments, supplies, and equipment used for patient care. Receives, collects, and transports contaminated instruments and supplies. Operates and cleans all department equipment, and performs all sterilization monitoring activities. Serves as a resource to other department members and to other hospital staff as needed, and performs other job-related duties as requested.
High School graduate or equivalent. Certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) through IAHCSMM required. Certification is a process which validates that a high level of knowledge, skills and education has been attained.
One-year previous experience in central processing operations preferred. Must be able to effectively communicate with other department members and hospital staff. Proficiency in the English language required.
