Qualifications

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a biller, coder, or back office staff.
• OB/GYN experience preferred, but not required.
• Associates degree from an accredited university preferred.
• Knowledge of auditing concepts and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to travel up to 25% as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of payor policies and billing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide second-level review of billing for compliance and reimbursements.
• Audit medical records to identify under- and over-coded services.
• Educate providers on accurate coding practices and compliance issues.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle to resolve denials and AR.
• Analyze payor performance and respond to policy questions.
