Job summary

Rotech Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dedicated PAP Specialist to set up CPAP/BiPAP equipment for patients and provide education and support. This role may operate in states where a licensed Respiratory Therapist is not required.

Responsibilities include patient education, device setup, documentation in EMR, and coordination with clinical teams to ensure timely delivery and optimal patient care. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Background check and drug screen as applicable.
• Must meet state-specific requirements for non-licensed PAP setup personnel.
• Experience with medical equipment and EMR systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up CPAP/BiPAP equipment for patients per protocols.
• Educate patients on equipment use, cleaning, and maintenance.
• Conduct mask fittings and address comfort/compliance issues.
• Document interactions and setup details in EMR.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and customer service for timely delivery and setup.
• Monitor patient compliance and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain inventory of PAP supplies and ensure equipment readiness.
