Job summary

Korn Ferry is partnering with our client to identify a skilled SEC reporting professional for the Corporate Finance team in Houston, TX. The role emphasizes GAAP reporting, multi-entity consolidations, and working closely with auditors during audits and reviews.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and an active CPA, with strong Excel, Workiva, and ERP/consolidation system experience to support Form 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings and related disclosures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• Active CPA is required.
• Combination of public accounting and corporate SEC reporting experience is required.
• Experience with SEC reporting: Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and XBRL is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support SEC filings including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, financial statements, footnotes, and related reporting schedules.
• Prepare detailed tie-out packages and perform quality-control reviews to ensure accuracy and consistency across SEC filings.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close and multi-entity consolidation reporting.
• Analyze complex accounting matters and assist with technical accounting research and implementation.
• Evaluate new guidance from the FASB, SEC, and other regulatory bodies and assess the impact on financial statements and disclosures.
• Maintain financial reporting policies, supporting schedules, and documentation.
• Partner with external auditors during annual audits and interim reviews.
• Support SOX and internal control documentation related to financial reporting.
• Drive improvements to financial reporting processes, systems, workflows, and reporting timelines.
• Support complex accounting areas such as business combinations, stock-based compensation, earnings per share, and impairment as needed.
