Job summary

Genuine Parts Company (GPC) seeks an accounting professional to support asset additions and disposals in the subledger, close the subledger monthly, and prepare reconciliations and reporting for depreciable asset accounts. The role involves assisting department personnel with issues and questions, ensuring GAAP compliance.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in accounting and 0–2 years of related experience; a master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required, 0–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Master's degree in business, accounting or finance is preferred.
• CPA-eligible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assists in ensuring general ledger accounts are maintained in accordance with GAAP.
• Prepares balance sheet reconciliations and resolves reconciling items promptly.
• Evaluates trends, investigates unusual account variances and communicates results to the department.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
