Intercare Therapy, Inc. (ICT) is seeking Coverage Behavior Technician (CBT) to provide year-round floating support across School Services and Behavioral Health in the Boston area.

CBTs deploy to where support is needed, across schools and programs, ensuring continuity of care and contributing to staffing, onboarding, peer mentorship, and operational projects. Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of behavioral intervention, ABA, or related experience.
  • Knowledge of ABA principles and behavioral intervention methodologies.
  • CPI certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 15 miles one-way within the assigned region.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Experience supporting school-based clients preferred.
  • Ability to navigate multiple technology platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Implement IEPs and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
  • Provide individualized behavioral intervention support.
  • Support students through instructional and non-instructional activities.
  • Facilitate participation in classroom, recreational, and community activities.
  • Collect behavioral data and complete required documentation.
  • Serve as a Peer Support Partner for newly assigned staff.
  • Support staffing, onboarding, and operational projects as needed.

Primary Responsibilities
School-Based Direct Service
  • During school-based coverage assignments, the CBT will:
  • Implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs)
  • Provide individualized behavioral intervention support
  • Support students through instructional and non-instructional activities
  • Facilitate participation in classroom, recreational, and community-based activities
  • Utilize CPI and approved crisis management procedures when necessary
  • Collect behavioral data and complete required documentation
Behavioral Health Direct Intervention Support
  • During home-based coverage assignments, the CBT will:
  • Provide direct intervention services in home-based settings
  • Provide individualized behavioral intervention support
  • Utilize CPI and approved crisis management procedures when necessary
  • Collect behavioral data and complete required documentation
  • Serve as a Peer Support Partner for newly assigned BIs
  • Conduct structured outreach and onboarding support activities
  • Facilitate brief Teams check-ins and peer support meetings
  • Provide guidance related to:
  • School system documentation
  • CR appointment conversion
  • Operational processes and workflows
Communication & Professional Expectations
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with supervisors, clinical teams, school personnel, and staff
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPPA, FERPA, and organizational requirements
  • Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development activities
  • Follow scheduling and documentation requirements
  • Demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and responsiveness across multiple service environments
Required Skills and Experience
