Job summary

Buttershaw Business & Enterprise College is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to support teaching staff and assist students aged 11-16. The role focuses on covering absences and providing in-class support, ensuring consistent, high-quality education during short-term teacher gaps.

The successful candidate will hold GCSE Maths & English at level 4 or above (or equivalent) and a degree, with experience in small groups and a collaborative mindset to motivate students and uphold inclusive

37 hours per week TTO + 2 days. Working hours: 8am-4pm Monday - Thursday, 8am-3.30pm Friday

We are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor towork under the direction of the Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Cover Supervisors, covering absent teachers and when possible providingin class support or assisting children in small groups as directed.

We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for working with students and teachers in a professional manner, modelling behaviours for staff and students.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of working with children aged 11-16


• Maths and English at level 4 GCSE or above (or equivalent) and a degree


• Experience of working effectively with small groups of students or covering whole classes


• The abilityto work as part of a wider team
