Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a high school diploma or GED; an associate’s degree is preferred.
• U.S. citizenship and no background or record disqualifying the candidate.
• Jail or Road Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the security and integrity of the open courtroom.
• Prevents disruptions or disturbances against the peace and decorum of the court.
• Reviews incident reports for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Checks court dockets to guarantee attendance by all summoned for court appearance.
• Protects the judge, court officers, jurors, and attending citizens.
• Notifies Transportation Division of transport orders and logs them.
