Job summary

The Fifth Judicial District Court in Eddy County, Carlsbad, New Mexico seeks a full-time Bailiff (At-Will) to maintain courtroom decorum, assist judges, jurors and staff, and coordinate with law enforcement for inmate transport. This unarmed role requires attention to security and customer service in a busy courtroom environment.

Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The position is in the Range BB with a target pay range of $15.00 to $20.61 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: One year of experience in security, law enforcement, or legal setting.
• Training: Additional court security training provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist Judges, Jurors, and other parties during courtroom proceedings.
• Ensure proper behavior and provide customer service in the courtroom.
• Set up and manage the courtroom during proceedings.
