The Mood Inc is seeking a reliable Courtesy Officer to support safety and guest experience at our hotel in San Antonio. You will patrol the property, monitor public areas, and report hazards in an observe and report style, without physical intervention.

A calm, professional demeanor and strong customer focus are essential. Responsibilities include identifying security risks, coordinating with law enforcement when needed, and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk the property for extended periods and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills when interacting with guests, staff, vendors, and law enforcement.
• Ability to remain calm, attentive, and professional in high‑pressure situations.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office, email platforms, and property management systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular indoor and outdoor patrols of hotel property to deter suspicious or criminal activity.
• Identify and report security risks, maintenance concerns, malfunctioning lighting, and other potential hazards.
• Monitor guest areas, parking lots, stairwells, hallways, and public spaces for unusual or unsafe activity.
• Maintain a safe distance and immediately contact law enforcement if witnessing criminal activity.
• Support a positive guest experience by maintaining professionalism and responding courteously to guest concerns.

We are looking for a reliable and attentive Courtesy Officer to support the safety, security, and overall guest experience at our property. In this role, you will maintain a visible presence throughout the hotel by conducting regular patrols, monitoring activity in public areas, and identifying potential safety or security concerns. The Courtesy Officer is responsible for documenting and reporting suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations while helping create a secure and welcoming environment for guests, employees, and visitors. This position operates under an “observe and report” approach and does not require physical intervention. The ideal candidate is professional, alert, customer-focused, and able to remain calm and composed in a variety of situations.

Compensation: $15 - $17 hourly
