Responsibilities:
- Bag groceries at checkout for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
- Follow best practices for bagging items using various bag types (reusable, plastic, paper).
- Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
- Offer to help customers load bags into their vehicles.
- Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
- Inform customers of grocery specials.
- Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
- Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and cleaning all store areas.
- Handle seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location, including conducting price checks.
- Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
- Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
- Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
- Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions about products.
- Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict professionally.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
- Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
