Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at checkout for customers.

Associate will aim for at least five items per bag, ensuring contents are not damaged.

Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).

Assist in removing customers' merchandise from the bottom of baskets for checkout.

Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.

Perform basic shelf conditioning.

Inform customers of grocery specials.

Return merchandise to store shelves.

Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.

Clean spills, and collect trash inside the store and parking lot.

Maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.

Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.

Understand the store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.

Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues to management.

Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.

Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.

Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.

Follow all local, state, and federal laws, and company policies.

Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Manage conflicts in a reasonable, nonconfrontational manner.

Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.

Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.

Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
