Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
2. Strive for at least five items per bag, ensuring contents are not damaged.
3. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
4. Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
5. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
6. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
7. Inform customers of grocery specials.
8. Return merchandise to store shelves.
9. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
10. Clean spills, collect trash inside store and parking lot.
11. Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
12. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
13. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
14. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
15. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
16. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
17. Create a welcoming environment, answer questions about products.
18. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
19. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
20. Manage conflict in a reasonable, cooperative manner.
21. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
22. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
23. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
