Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return shopping carts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
7. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
8. Reinforce safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
9. Inspect equipment, report repairs needed, and create a welcoming environment for customers.
10. Follow all laws, regulations, and company guidelines.
11. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict appropriately.
12. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
13. Assist with interactions involving minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
14. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
