Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damaging contents.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from shopping carts for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for locating products and conducting price checks.
• Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering customer questions and assisting with store navigation.
• Follow all legal and company guidelines, and work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
• Manage conflict professionally, act with honesty and integrity, and follow directions.
• Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
