Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in reusable, plastic, or paper bags.
3. Assist in removing customer merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers about grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to shelves and gather/return shopping carts.
8. Clean spills, pick up trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
10. Reinforce safety programs, comply with safety procedures, and report unsafe conditions.
11. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
13. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions, and provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
14. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, manage conflicts calmly, and act with honesty and integrity.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
