Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to shelves.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
9. Clean all areas inside and outside the store.
10. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
11. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
12. Reinforce safety programs and report unsafe conditions or accidents.
13. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
14. Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
15. Create a welcoming environment, assisting customers with questions about products.
16. Follow all applicable laws and company policies.
17. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
18. Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational manner.
19. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
20. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
21. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
22. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
