Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of the shopping cart during checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Informing customers about grocery specials.
• Returning merchandise to store shelves and gathering shopping carts for return.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness of all areas.
• Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
• Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforcing safety by complying with procedures and reporting unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions about products.
• Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
