• Responsibilities include:
• Bagging groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags.
• Assisting with removing customer's merchandise from baskets.
• Offering to help load bags into customers' cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and informing customers of specials.
• Returning merchandise to shelves, gathering and returning shopping carts, and cleaning spills and trash inside and outside the store.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforcing safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions, and adhering to food safety regulations.
• Performing equipment inspections and notifying management of repairs.
• Creating a welcoming environment for customers and assisting with questions about products.
• Following all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally, and acting with honesty and integrity.
• Following directions, seeking assistance when needed, and supporting vulnerable populations such as minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
