Essential Job Functions:

• Bag groceries at check out for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of the bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
• Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand the store's layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by following safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions or accidents.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect equipment regularly and notify management of repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment, assist customers with questions about products.
• Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflict effectively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
• Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
