Responsibilities include:

• Bagging groceries efficiently at checkout, ensuring contents are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
• Using best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assisting in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Performing basic shelf conditioning and restocking merchandise.
• Informing customers about grocery specials and returning merchandise to shelves.
• Gathering and returning shopping carts to designated areas.
• Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the store.
• Handling seasonal merchandise and understanding store layout for product location and price checks.
• Reinforcing safety protocols, reporting unsafe conditions or incidents, and complying with all safety procedures and food safety regulations.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting repairs needed.
• Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers with questions and ensuring they feel valued.
• Following all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment and managing conflicts professionally.
• Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Following directions and seeking assistance to resolve issues.
• Supporting and assisting minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Performing essential functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Salary Range: $16.53 - $16.78 per hour
