Job Description: Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger

Responsibilities include:

1. Bagging groceries efficiently while ensuring items are not damaged and striving for at least five items per bag.
2. Following best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assisting in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offering to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Performing basic shelf conditioning and returning merchandise to store shelves.
6. Informing customers of grocery specials and gathering bascarts for return.
7. Cleaning spills, collecting trash inside and outside the store, and maintaining store cleanliness.
8. Handling and assembling seasonal merchandise.
9. Understanding store layout, locating products, and conducting price checks for cashiers.
10. Reinforcing safety programs, complying with safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
11. Adhering to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
12. Inspecting equipment and notifying management of repairs needed.
13. Creating a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
14. Adhering to all applicable laws and company policies.
15. Working cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and managing conflicts professionally.
16. Acting with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Following directions and seeking assistance when needed to resolve issues.
