Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag while preventing damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of shopping carts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather shopping carts for return.
8. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
11. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management of issues.
12. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspect equipment for preventive maintenance and report repairs needed.
14. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering product questions.
15. Follow all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflict in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
19. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
20. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
21. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
