Responsibilities:

• Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
• Use best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
• Assist in removing merchandise from baskets for checkout.
• Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to shelves and gather/return shopping carts.
• Maintain cleanliness by cleaning spills, trash, and all areas inside and outside the store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and assist with store layout and product location.
• Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
• Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts appropriately.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
