Job description

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger is responsible for bagging groceries at check out for customers.
2. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from the bottom of the shopping cart for checkout.
3. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
4. Perform basic shelf conditioning and return merchandise to store shelves.
5. Gather shopping carts and return them to designated areas.
6. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain cleanliness of all areas.
7. Inform customers of grocery specials and understand the store's layout to locate products and conduct price checks.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise and understand safety procedures, including food safety regulations.
9. Practice preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting issues.
10. Create a welcoming environment by assisting customers and answering questions about products.
11. Adhere to all local, state, federal laws, and company guidelines.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
13. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
14. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
15. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
16. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
