Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at check out for customers, striving for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags.
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts at checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to store shelves and gather bascarts for return.
7. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot, and maintain all areas inside and outside the store.
8. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise, understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks.
9. Reinforce safety programs and comply with safety procedures, reporting unsafe conditions.
10. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
11. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
12. Create a welcoming environment for customers, answering questions about products.
13. Follow all applicable laws and company guidelines.
14. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment, managing conflicts professionally.
15. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
16. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
17. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
