Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and inform customers of grocery specials.
6. Return merchandise to shelves, gather and return bascarts, and clean spills and trash inside and outside the store.
7. Handle seasonal merchandise and understand store layout for product location and price checks.
8. Reinforce safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management.
9. Adhere to food safety regulations and perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
10. Create a welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products.
11. Follow all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
12. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment and manage conflicts professionally.
13. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
14. Support and assist with interactions involving minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
15. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
