Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from baskets for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and return merchandise to shelves.
7. Gather and return shopping carts to designated areas.
8. Clean spills, pick up trash inside and outside the store.
9. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
10. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
11. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or incidents.
12. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
13. Inspect equipment and report repairs needed.
14. Create a welcoming environment, answer customer questions about products.
15. Follow all laws, regulations, and company policies.
16. Work cooperatively in a high-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
17. Manage conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
18. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
