Essential Job Functions:

1. Bag groceries at checkout for customers, aiming for at least five items per bag without damage.
2. Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags (reusable, plastic, paper).
3. Assist in removing customer's merchandise from bottom of bascarts for checkout.
4. Offer to help customers load bags into their cars.
5. Perform basic shelf conditioning and restocking.
6. Inform customers of grocery specials and promotions.
7. Return merchandise to store shelves as needed.
8. Gather and return shopping bascarts to designated areas.
9. Clean spills, collect trash inside the store and parking lot.
10. Maintain cleanliness of all store areas inside and outside.
11. Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
12. Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
13. Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, accidents, or issues.
14. Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines.
15. Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
16. Create a welcoming environment, assisting customers and answering questions about products.
17. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
18. Work cooperatively in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
19. Manage conflicts in a reasonable and cooperative manner.
20. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
21. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
22. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
