Essential Job Functions

• Provide efficient and courteous service to customers at all times.
• Follow proper procedures for packaging customer orders and adhere to company policies outlined in the bagging manual.
• Fill bag racks and assist in stocking merchandise.
• Unload shopping carts for customers and keep shopping carts in their proper place.
• Assist cashiers in checking out customers efficiently.
• Retrieve stray carts from the parking lot and keep the parking lot litter-free.
• Keep the work station and surrounding areas neat and clean.
• Assist in stocking milk and eggs and help customers locate products.
• Avoid carrying on conversations with other associates while bagging orders.
• Understand and explain the ValuCard program.
• Assist in sweeping and mopping store areas and keep bathrooms clean.
• Work in the parcel pick-up area as directed.
• Replace misplaced items and collect trash and bale boxes as needed.
• Use the intercom properly and understand shelf tags for price changes.
• Stock merchandise and perform other duties as assigned.
