Job summary

Meijer is seeking a cart attendant to help keep our stores organized and welcoming. You will ferry shopping carts from the exterior to the interior, assist with trash collection, and support basic cleaning tasks across the store and restrooms.

You’ll work alongside service desks, check lanes, and parking lot areas to ensure a smooth shopping experience. Ideal candidates are highly organized, have strong listening and communication skills, and can lift and move merchandise in a fast-paced

Responsibilities

• Cart attendants ferry shopping carts from outside to inside the store.
• Coordinating and collecting trash from the parking lot, lawn, and store areas.
• Safely operate snow removal equipment as needed.
• Handle perishable and salvage returns.
• Perform basic store and restroom cleaning tasks.
• Collaborate with service desk, entrance, lanes and parking areas.
• Work with departments across the store.

What You'll be Doing:

• Cart attendants will ferry shopping carts from outside the store back to the store interior.
• Coordinating and collecting of the parking lot, lawn, and inside store trash.
• Safely use snow removal equipment for properly removing snow.
• Perishable and salvage returns.
• Basic store and restroom cleaning.
• Working with our service desk, store entrance, check lanes and parking lot areas.
• Working with departments: Health and Beauty Care, Hardlines, Fashion/Softlines, Pets, Hardware, Card and Party, Outdoor, Seasonal and Floral.
