Job summary

Kroger Maumelle store is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to create an outstanding customer experience at checkout, bag groceries, and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting customers with loading bags, keeping shelves neat, and following safety and food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum Position Qualifications: Retail Experience is preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers
• Strive to bag at least five items without damage
• Follow best practices for bagging in reusable/plastic/paper bags
• Assist in removing merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout
• Help customers load bags into their car
• Perform basic shelf conditioning
• Inform customers of grocery specials
• Return merchandise to store shelves
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas
• Clean spills and pick up trash inside store and parking lot
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise
• Know store layout and conduct price checks for cashiers
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
• Practice preventive maintenance and report needed repairs
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with questions
• Follow all laws and company guidelines
• Work cooperatively in high-paced environments and manage conflicts calmly
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Follow directions and seek help to resolve issues
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without accommodations
