Job summary

Kroger in Jonesboro, AR is seeking a Courtesy Clerk/Grocery Bagger to deliver outstanding customer service and help maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will bag groceries, assist customers, stock shelves, perform price checks, and reinforce safety programs while treating customers with respect and honesty.

Responsibilities include bagging groceries, assisting customers with loading bags, conducting price checks for cashiers, and keeping aisles and parking lot clean.

Qualifications

• Retail experience preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Bag groceries at checkout for customers.
• Strive for at least five items in the bag while ensuring contents are not damaged.
• Follow best practices for bagging items in various types of bags.
• Assist in removing customer merchandise from bottom of bascart for checkout.
• Offer to help customers with loading bags into their car.
• Perform basic shelf conditioning.
• Inform customers of grocery specials.
• Return merchandise to store shelves.
• Gather bascarts and return them to designated areas.
• Clean spills, collect and pick up trash inside store and parking lot.
• Clean all areas inside and outside of store.
• Handle and assemble seasonal merchandise.
• Understand store layout, locate products, and conduct price checks for cashiers.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced environment, manage conflict, and follow directions.
• Provide support to minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
