Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, sociology, social work, criminal justice, or corrections from an accredited university.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• All applicants must pass a named-based criminal history check; fingerprinting may be required.
• Experience with justice-involved clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise offenders on pretrial and probation supervision.
• Assist offenders in understanding and meeting requirements and accessing resources.
• Assist offenders in identifying needs and appropriate resources.
• Attend morning First Appearance dockets and prepare criminal history reports.
• Prepare reports related to supervision transfers, case reports, violation reports, LSIR/LSCMI/WRNA/SASSI risk assessments.
• Work closely with resource agencies in the community.
• Maintain current and accurate case records.
• Work independently or in teams under the direction of a senior Court Services Officer, with reviews via staffing and audits.
