Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus some law enforcement and computer training recommended.

• Must pass background investigations including Act 57 compliant checks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and orderly conduct of individuals in courtrooms and county property.
• Serve in a law enforcement and peace keeping function within Franklin County.
• Transport and guard prisoners; use restraints as needed.
• Prepare and file incident reports and criminal charges as necessary.
• Testify in Court when needed.
• Assist with maintaining law and order during strikes, riots or disasters.
• Provide protective services to the Court when requested.
• Possess knowledge of paperwork for release, incarceration, and transport of prisoners.
• Perform inspections of courtrooms and holding areas; quell disturbances.
