Job summary

Fort Bend County is seeking a Data Entry Clerk to examine, verify and input data into court computer systems and update case information across pending, disposed and related files. This role involves handling documents, case indexing and routine public inquiries.

The position requires 40 WPM typing, solid MS Office skills, and good written and verbal communication. Starting hourly wage ranges with full county benefits under the Texas retirement system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year general business experience.
• Good computer and data entry skills.
• Math and typing skills (40 WPM) required.

Responsibilities

• Examine, verify and input data into court computer systems to update information on pending, disposed, and related cases.
• Research historical data and verify, process, and distribute documents.
• Print and provide case index and ensure files are complete and in order.
• Answer calls and assist public and county inquiries as needed.
• Calculate and collect costs of court and monetary transactions per Texas procedures.
