The Connecticut Judicial Branch, Superior Court Operations Division, seeks individuals for on-the-job training to record verbal testimony using electronic equipment in courtrooms across statewide districts. Duties include setting up equipment, monitoring recordings, and preparing transcripts, with a 35-hour work week and benefits.

Salary ranges from $45,752 to $58,274 annually; preference given to Stamford District applicants.

Qualifications

• One year of clerical experience and the ability to produce accurate typewritten documents at a rate of 40 words per minute.

Responsabilités

• Set up, test and operate recording equipment for court proceedings.
• Monitor recordings using earphones and maintain notes of proceedings.
• Prepare transcripts and appeal papers; assemble and maintain records and files.
