The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) prioritizes children’s well-being by assisting parents in providing for their children’s economic and social stability. OCSS serves all parents and guardians, regardless of income or immigration status, and helps generate over $700 million annually for children’s support.
The DSS Court Services (DSS CS) division processes cases from the OCSS Borough Offices and Enforcement division, working with the DSS Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) and NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA) to file child support petitions, schedule hearings, and handle post-hearing activities.
The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) is seeking one (1) Clerical Associate III to serve as a Court Processing Unit Clerk.
Under supervision of the Court Services Supervisor, with some independence, the Clerk will handle clerical tasks related to child support court orders, including generating petitions, scheduling/preparing cases, mailing, and post-hearing activities. The role also involves case status updates like summons processing and pre/post-hearing procedures.
Hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Location: 60 Lafayette Street, 7th Floor-Room 7C, New York, NY 10013
High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Typing at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
Salary: $40,957.00 – $47,100.00
