Job summary

Genesee County MI is seeking a Public Engagement Specialist to perform a variety of legal records tasks within the Circuit Court’s Legal Records Division. Work includes maintaining court records to standards and providing courtroom support as directed by supervision.

The role involves juror handling, recording court proceedings, assisting the public, and organizing case files with data input and retrieval responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years' experience as a Public Engagement Specialist.
• Two (2) years' experience working in a courtroom as a court clerk and ability to type 30 net w.p.m.

Responsibilities

• Assists in juror selection and sworn statements; maintains required information.
• Officially records verdicts, motions, sentences and other court proceedings when required.
• Works at public access points assisting court users and answering questions.
