Job summary

The Arizona Supreme Court is seeking a Court Financial Specialist VI to join the Court Services Division in Phoenix. The role performs on-site reviews of accounting and cash handling, drafts deficiency summaries, and helps implement robust financial controls across courts.

The position offers a hybrid-telework option after three months, with travel up to 25% and a comprehensive benefits package. A bachelor’s degree with five years of related experience is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, or related degree with a minimum of five years’ experience performing accounting, financial management, or case management duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload, manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines; work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate accounting and cash handling practices to MAS standards.
• Perform on-site reviews including data collection, staff interviews, and reconciliation.
• Draft reports and recommend improvements to financial controls.
• Provide on-site technical assistance and training for courts with financial issues.
• Develop and present statewide training on financial management practices to court staff.
