Maricopa County is seeking a Judicial Clerk for the Downtown Phoenix Justice Courts. The role focuses on delivering excellent public service through front counter support, payment processing, filing and docketing, and assisting with court operations.

You will engage with the public and court users, process payments, and help ensure smooth workflow across case types. The position emphasizes accuracy, attention to detail, and teamwork within a busy justice environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of clerical or administrative experience including customer service, cash handling, and/or data entry.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
• High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary education or experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality customer service to the public, attorneys, and law enforcement by phone and at the counter; explain filing procedures, fees, and forms.
• Review documents for information, conformity, jurisdiction, timeliness, and supporting materials.
• Schedule and amend court dockets, coordinate dates, and issue appearance and release notices.
• Prepare warrants, summonses, subpoenas, and court documents; maintain records and archives as required.
