Job summary

The Judge’s Bailiff II at Tarrant County will support daily court operations, ensuring security and safety in the courtrooms, and handling inmates, witnesses and clients, as well as making arrests when necessary.

Responsibilities include transporting inmates, maintaining courtroom order, updating dockets, and assisting with jury services. Candidates must hold peace officer certification and firearms qualification, with mandatory training requirements.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years law enforcement related experience preferred.
• Peace Officer Certification through TCLEOSE required.
• Mandatory firearms qualification and physical training.

Responsibilities

• Provide security and support functions to the Judge and staff.
• Transport inmates to court and return to jail after court appearance.
• Maintain courtroom security and order.
• Execute warrants and make arrests when necessary.
• Update court dockets prior to scheduled docket dates.
