Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications, along with general computer skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Determine stocking quantities for course materials by analyzing historical provider, site, course, title, and sales data.
• Analyze purchasing activity and inventory information to support accurate buying decisions and anticipate course materials demand.
• Review stocking decisions and inventory levels to help prevent backorders and excess inventory while supporting cost and margin objectives.
• Monitor inventory risks, including custom course materials, and take appropriate action as needed.
• Review publisher policies and practices, new editions, packages, substitutions, and other product changes that may affect inventory needs.
• Review and take appropriate action on inventory and performance reports in accordance with departmental reporting schedules.
• Serve as a course materials resource regarding new editions, packages, substitute titles, and available alternatives.
• Review substitution notices, evaluate and adjust adoptions as appropriate, and identify alternate course material options from other vendors when needed.
• Work with Acquisitions and Client Representatives to support course materials availability and assist with resolving inventory-related issues.
• Monitor order status and inventory levels for assigned key accounts.
• Review reports and information to evaluate performance by provider, site, course, or title.
• Assist with evaluating historical information provided by new and existing clients.
• Understand individual performance expectations and work to improve results based on established departmental buyer metrics.
• Support the Supervisor and assist other Inventory Coordinators in meeting departmental productivity and performance goals.
• Evaluate processes and recommend or coordinate appropriate changes based on process analysis.
